This is Lynn the reliables mate Steve from the UK who I took over to the Bay of Plenty for a change of scenery. He had a great time catching Kahawai and Skip Jack tuna on the fly rod as well as Snapper and King fish on the soft bait gear.Skippys are great sport on a fly rod and as you can see the conditions were awsome.Snapper of this size we release as Steve was happy to do this fish gave him a real tussle on the soft bait gear.

Getting back to the fishing on the Tongariro there is not a whole bunch to report today the river this morning, their is a bit of colour in it and up a bit too.

There has been no fresh news from the lake over the last day or so othe than some of the stream mouths appear to be producing some nice fish in the dark.
