This Heu Heu parade on the banks of the Tauraga/Taupo river as you can see the road is not in good shape after the rain over the last two days. This afternoon the Tongariro river is flowing at around 90 cumxs after peaking at over 600 cumxs last night it just shows how much the Tongariro river is dicked with to drop that quick I must say it is joke for DOC to say that Taupo is a wild fishery when both the Tongariro river and lake Taupo levels are manipulated as much as they are.The Tongariro river should be fishable tommorow specialy with the wet fly.
