Ken with a nice bag of fish taken yesterday . Ken was a regular vistor to Turangi and the Tongariro river until last year when he and his wife made the move to Turangi.By what I have seen and heard over the last couple of days the fishing is not bad on both the Tongariro river and the smaller streams.A nice fresh hen that I caught Sunday afternoon plenty of this sort of fish out there. The weather here in Turangi today is overcast with the threat of more rain which will keep the fish moving . Over the last few days glow bugs have been fishing very well as the rivers in the Taupo area have been slightly coloured making for some very good winter fishing.
